We often read and hear, “We are what we eat,” and this rule about food has been practiced since time immemorial. Even Ayurveda has defined certain rules about foods depending upon the nature of the ingredients and the season they are meant to be consumed in. In a recent post on Instagram, celebrity nutritionist Shweta Shah mentioned some ancient food rules that people often forget. The caption of her post reads, “Ayurveda has simple but powerful guidelines to keep your digestion strong & health on track.” Look at the rules; after all, your plate isn’t just food, it’s wisdom.
