A security alert was sent out to students and staff at KU Medical Center Monday night following a bomb threat.
Officers with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department responded to the incident just after 6:30 p.m. to help KU Medical police following a bomb threat call.

KU officers tell KCKPD that someone arrived to the entrance of the ER with what was told to police to be an explosive device.
KCKPD set a perimeter and the bomb unit was called to the scene. The device was determined not to be explosive.
