The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a Class II recall on more than 1.5 million bags of shredded cheese (including mozzarella blends and pizza-style types) sold across 31 states and Puerto Rico, because of potential contamination with metal fragments — consumers are urged to discard or return affected products.
